Check your iPhone’s media volume and confirm that a French voice is installed and available in iOS. Voice availability and quality depend on the Apple speech voices installed on the device.

Open iPhone Settings, find Bonjour Path, and allow Microphone access. The app asks for microphone permission only when you start a recording activity.

Allow Speech Recognition access in iPhone Settings. Bonjour Path requires on-device Canadian French recognition. If that capability is unavailable, the app keeps the recording on the device and asks you to compare it by ear.

Touch and hold an empty area of the iPhone Home Screen, choose the option to add a widget, search for Bonjour Path or French Vocabulary, select a size, and add it. If it does not appear immediately after installation, launch Bonjour Path once and try again.

Reminders are optional local notifications. Enable them from the Progress screen and allow notifications when iOS asks. You can change notification permission later in iPhone Settings.

Open Progress and choose Export encrypted backup. Use a password of at least 12 characters and keep it somewhere safe; Bonjour Path cannot recover it. On the destination installation, choose Restore backup, select the file, enter the password, and follow the in-app relaunch instruction.

Open Progress, choose Reset all learning data, and confirm. Deleting Bonjour Path also removes its local app container. Exported backup files must be deleted separately from each place where you saved them.
